|Higeko is a bamboo basket which was used as a gift box from the Heian period.
Yamada-matsu’s Higeko is tied with threads of five different colors used to ward off evil spirits in ancient Japan. In the Higeko, there are scent bags of red and white, which are colors used as symbol of auspiciousness and happiness.
Display it in the entryway or living room of your house, or anywhere you would like it to deliver a graceful and refined sandalwood-based scent blended with borneol, cloves and other natural incense materials.
